An Evening With Lauren Jauregui

When it comes to music, Florida native Lauren Jauregui has been around for some time. As a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, she achieved success and acclaim in both the pop and R&B genres. Now, she’s making the move to the solo circuit. In the past year, she’s played six shows in San Francisco. While she’s had plenty of high-profile collaborations, she’s still working on her own material. She’s a multi-talented artist who isn’t afraid to try new things.

For one thing, she’s got a great voice. She also has a knack for the music business. Attunement Records is her home base, but she’s also signed with AWAL Recordings. Besides her own material, she’s also collaborated with artists such as Vic Mensa. One of her recent tracks, “All in My Head”, was awarded the BMI Pop Award.

There’s a reason why she’s a fan favorite: she knows how to perform. The singer has been honing her skills for years. From dancing to visual arts, she’s been able to put her talents to good use. So, when it came to her debut project, she wanted to make sure it was something special. She’s a songwriter at heart, but she’s also a performer. During her recent tour, she showed off her talent on stage and off.

In the aforementioned music business feat of hers, she has her sights set on becoming an icon in her own right. This includes a well-rounded list of accomplishments, from performing to massive crowds to winning a BMI Pop Award. To ensure her success, she’s got a support system, but she’s also made it known that she’s a proud advocate of bi-equality and social justice.

Aside from her music career, she’s also an active philanthropist. She has contributed to causes such as autism awareness, which she is a vocal supporter of. Other accomplishments include being named as the best-dressed gal in the OC’s sexiest-dressed women awards ceremony and appearing on the cover of a magazine.

Although she’s had a ton of success, she’s still only 25. Her recent release of a debut album, PRELUDE, is proof she’s not done yet. Fortunately, her fans can expect some serious hits in the near future. Some of her best tracks include the aforementioned “All in My Head”, as well as the evocative “Beneath the Skin,” “Colors,” and the trippy “All the Small Things.” With her latest album, she’s taking a major step forward as a singer-songwriter. On the tour, she’ll also be joined by Vic Mensa.

If you’re a fan of jazz and R&B, you’ll certainly enjoy hearing her perform her songs. But, if you’re more of a dance lover, you can catch her performing a couple of new tracks from PRELUDE.
