Andrea Thomas is an ISPE member who founded and presided over the Solano Community College Student Chapter. As its leader, Andrea has successfully recruited numerous students while hosting engaging and educational workshops, programs, and events.
Mount Olivet Lab School, an outreach ministry of Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Saint Paul, provides services, nutritious meals, enrichment classes and part-time jobs to children in the local community.
After Donald Trump’s election, she joined many Americans in becoming political activists. After taking action on many fronts to stop gun violence in her state of Washington DC, she decided to run for state senator hoping her analytical skills could make a difference – she has since received endorsements from Attorney General Karl Racine, Ward 6 Councilmember Charles Allen and DC for Democracy as well as Mothers Demand Action for Gun Sense.
Thomas works as a management consultant – something she describes as similar to being a doctor for companies: She provides assessments, formulate concrete plans, and secure buy-in from key decision-makers. Now, Thomas hopes to use these same skills on behalf of DC statehood.
At Advanced Systems Group’s (ASG) Managed Services group, she oversees client relationships, service delivery and staffing on project-by-project basis. In addition, she runs Eleventh Social, a Facebook advertising agency which specializes in increasing ROI on social ads.
She is an ISPE member and serves as president of Solano Community College’s student chapter, hosting workshops, events and activities for her peers. Additionally, she sits on the board of national nonprofit Leadership Now Project as well as serving as consultant to Dalberg Global Development Advisors’ mission-driven strategy firm.
Achievement and Honors
Thomas has achieved much in her professional life but remains humble as an individual. She has served her community by being involved on many boards and committees including serving on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors.
She founded and presided over the Solano College ISPE Student Chapter, recruiting many new members and hosting exciting workshops and programs. Furthermore, she kept abreast of pharmaceutical industry developments to provide innovative, educational programs to address market needs.
Her efforts were recognized when she was recently awarded Treasurer of the Year by Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO). She credits this honor to her outstanding team. Moving forward, her plans include continuing to provide services to constituents while expanding and strengthening treasurers’ association and giving newcomers confidence for success.
Andria Thomas is an devoted family woman and proud mother to Minerva and Magnolia. Additionally, she’s also an avid fitness enthusiast with a large social media following thanks to images showcasing her in shape lifestyle.
She has been actively engaged in her community. She founded and serves as president of Solano Student Chapter of ISPE, hosting exciting workshops and events. Additionally, she recruited numerous students into BioManufacturing school’s four-year bachelor degree program.
She is running for shadow senator in the District of Columbia in hopes to bring fresh strategic thinking and energy to efforts for statehood in DC. She already knows many of the existing activists working towards statehood in DC; should she win, she hopes to continue working alongside them if elected and bring expertise from tech startups, the Peace Corps, and management consulting into her efforts for statehood in DC.
With such an amazing career and personal life, she also lives a fulfilling personal life. Married and the mother of two, the couple live happily together in Fort Worth, Texas.
