A Freeland Man Charged With Child Sexually Abusive Activity and Possession of Child Sexually Abuse Material on the Internet

Benjamin Clore, 43 years old and employed at Delta College in Freeland, has been arrested for viewing and sharing child pornographic material online. After MSP collected digital evidence at his home address, Clore was charged by authorities and later appeared for an arraignment hearing on May 5.

Early Life and Education

Benjamin was raised in the UK, attending a private school where he learned both French and English, as well as studying music – studies which ultimately lead to him founding Evolve Music in 2006 as a community music organisation that creates original tunes with families, young people and adults based on their individual experiences and preferences.

He received his PhD in Physical Biochemistry in 1982 and began an expansive research career investigating protein dynamics – which forms the basis of many pharmaceutical drugs. Over his lifetime he received numerous honorary degrees, awards, membership in several scientific societies and academies and even held key scientific office.

Professional Career

Ben has written professionally for theatre, television and radio since he was seven. His first story was given as a present to his father for his birthday; since then he has created the Ministry of Stories writing centre, which has helped thousands of young people write their own tales.

He was also awarded a Clore Fellowship and took part in the highly esteemed Cultural Leadership Programme, designed to strengthen outstanding leaders by offering them an intensive learning programme tailored to their own aspirations, needs, and circumstances.

Neil brings his knowledge and experience in business management and property maintenance to the Finance and Resources Committee, where he helps support school efforts to drive value for money savings and efficiencies across the board. His daughter attended Clore Shalom before transitioning to Yavneh for Year 6.

He earned both his Bachelor of Science (BSc) and Doctorate (summa cum laude) degrees in computer science, studying two years at Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study before receiving numerous scholarships, awards, and fellowships during his academic journey.

Clore currently works as an instructor at Delta College in Freeland, Michigan. On May 5, 43-year-old Clore was arrested and charged with illegally viewing child pornography using his computer to distribute it online; consequently he has been placed on leave from teaching until the outcome of his legal case.
