Ben Fowler

Ben Fowler teaches drumming and assists student bands. Additionally, he excels at producing impressive music for film and media projects.

His practice encompasses litigation and arbitration in construction and engineering matters, professional liability (including disciplinary actions), costs and professional standards issues. He is highly experienced defending architects against ARB/RIBA disciplinary complaints. Furthermore, he has significant expertise defending high value claims both for and against professionals.

Early Life and Education

Adam was raised on his family farm in Hooper and learned the value of hard work from an early age. He enjoyed swimming in the canal and racing his horse for fun; and was very dedicated to his family and church callings, helping others reach their full potential by serving others through service work. Together with Rita he and Rita were true partners in business ventures, church calls, 50 grandchildren, and serving others in need.

He served the state of California as a firefighter, first working at a conservation fire camp before transitioning into regular service as part of AB 2147’s positive reentry initiative.

In 2021, he returned to ORHS as the English department professional learning community (PLC) coach – an additional paid position besides classroom teaching – working collaborative teaching teams to enhance instruction using data analysis and cognitive coaching.

Professional Career

Fowler has been teaching full-time for nearly 15 years, most recently teaching English at Oak Ridge High School and Jefferson Middle School. Additionally, he’s been heavily involved with ORHS’ theater program Masquers; serving on their backstage crew building sets and moving them, making emergency repairs, coaching actors on how to perform onstage with digital effects, coaching actors for performance roles as needed and shining shoes!

He has taught every grade level from kindergarten to 12th grade and earned both a master of education as well as his educational specialist degree. Furthermore, Lincoln Memorial University recently announced that Dr. McCreery is in his final year of completing his doctorate of instructional leadership studies.

Fowler plans on continuing his studies at CCU and eventually finding work with one of Colorado’s tech companies after graduation. Additionally, he’d love to hike all 14ers that the state offers up.

Achievement and Honors

Fowler maintains an extensive commercial practice. He has represented clients before the High Court and Court of Appeal both as sole counsel and led counsel on a range of legal matters such as general commercial litigation, construction law disputes, professional liability insurance claims and costs disputes as well as arbitration and mediation proceedings.

At Liverpool’s 1-0 victory against West Bromwich Albion on 25 September 2012, he scored his inaugural goal and overtook Kenny Dalglish as all-time top scorer. From that day forward he wore number 10 shirt but his form deteriorated significantly as manager Rafael Benitez used him less frequently.

Personal Life

Fowler is a father to an inspirational 10-year-old son that serves as his motivation to work hard every day. Additionally, he enjoys hiking and all things related to outdoor adventure.

Fowler offers a broad commercial practice encompassing general litigation, construction law, professional negligence (including disciplinary and regulatory matters), insurance and costs issues. He regularly appears as sole counsel before both the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Fowler struggled throughout the 2021-2022 season and missed several cuts. His best finish came at the 2020 Sentry Tournament of Champions where he finished T5th; this was his first top-10 finish since returning from COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, he missed cuts at both 2021 Players Championship and Honda Classic, scoring T65th overall at both events.
