Early Life and Education

Juan Luna was born in Badoc, Ilocos Norte to an affluent family that could afford to send its children to Ateneo de Manila and University of Santo Tomas under Jesuit supervision. Juan later pursued his artistic inclinations by taking drawing and painting lessons with Lorenzo Guerrero during his free time.

In 1877, Manuel and he traveled together to Europe where Manuel continued his artistic studies. Soon thereafter, his works were well received by local residents and he started receiving commissions for paintings from collectors.

Juan found it hard to financially support himself despite his early success. To combat this financial strain, he eventually chose the life of a seaman; working as one in later years proved very fruitful; traveling widely while being awarded many accolades for his skills as a seaman.

Professional Career

Benjamin Luna is an esteemed attorney who specializes in foreclosure, loan workouts and bankruptcy law. He regularly represents financial institutions in commercial mortgage foreclosure proceedings as well as eviction proceedings; additionally he often represents businesses against dram-shop lawsuits and other legal disputes.

Sam earned all-state and regional first team honors as an outstanding high school football player at Saguaro High School before going on to Brophy College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona, for college football.

Dr. Benjamn Luna Jr is an expert cardiologist specializing in hypertension, coronary artery disease and heart failure. In practice for 28 years now, he treats each of his patients with compassion and diplomacy; taking great pride in seeing people trust him with their health.

Achievement and Honors

He was a natural scientist of great variety. Drawing on his training in engineering, meteorology, geology and hydrology to pioneer fluvial geomorphology – which studies how rivers affect their surrounding landscape – he wrote over 200 articles and books which continue to be utilized today for teaching and fieldwork purposes.

He specialized in Otherworld flora and fauna, relics, potion-making, magical field training and forensics; serving on the Philippine Commission for Astronomical Research as a member. Two towns named in his honor – General Antonio Luna Avenue in Quezon and Hingoso in Surigao del Norte are named in his honour.

Arnis master and founding chair and president of Semana-Luna Water District, an award-winning district which has provided services for decades, as well as his well drilling company which received recognition for both coverage and fiscal management.

Personal Life

Benjamin Luna lives in Tom Green County with his wife and children. His research interests center on learning and teaching strategies; moreover, he strongly advocates for women and minorities within higher education leadership positions.

He is a member of the National Moot Court Team and received recognition as “Member of the Year” by the American College of Trial Lawyers. His practice encompasses estate planning, probate litigation and Title IX investigations.

Ben comes to Little & Cicchetti after serving five years as Chief Deputy State’s Attorney in Caledonia County and Lamoille County where he prosecuted over three thousand criminal cases. Now with Little & Cicchetti he applies his expertise in civil litigation matters, probate proceedings, trust issues and Title IX investigations.
