Two Teen Car Accidents Spotted in New Canaan CT

Two car crashes involving teens were spotted in New Canaan during the first few days of the year. Several fire departments responded to the scene. This is the latest in a string of accidents on the road that has plagued residents in recent years. While the drivers in both cases were able to walk away unscathed, police are currently investigating the matter.

The vehicle of the week is a BMW that crashed into two trees in the process. A few minutes later, a 17-year-old boy in a Volkswagen took the same path of least resistance. Luckily for him, he was not a pedestrian, and was able to make his way to a hospital. However, the car was on the wrong side of the road and ended up in the parking lot of an apartment building.

Thankfully, the driver is recovering and the hazard was averted, but the damage is done. Two passengers, one of them a minor, were rushed to Norwalk Hospital. Not to be outdone, the New Canaan Fire Department was tasked with extricating the occupants. In the end, the driver’s medical record shows he had no serious injuries.

Another teen-friendly incident occurred on the evening of March 22 in Colton. The car was driving a bit too fast for comfort and failed to stop at a stop sign. The vehicle was not in possession of any licenses and is still on the loose. On the other hand, a 68-year-old bicyclist was injured when the vehicle hit him. Apparently, he had the audacity to tell the driver that he was on the wrong side of the road.
