K-Ci Hailey was born to gospel singers Cliff and Anita Hailey of K-Ci & JoJo duo fame as well as Cliff’s rendition of Bobby Womack’s If You Think You’re Lonely Now by Joel Hailey. K-Ci & JoJo’s K-Ci is popular R&B duo who can often be found covering Bobby Womack songs as well.

K-Ci Hailey was born Cedric Renard Hailey on September 2, 1969 in Monroe, North Carolina to parents Cliff and Anita. He attended Garinger High School before going on to become an American national. K-Ci is well known as an artist performing Contemporary R&B music; one half of Jodeci.

At 12, Jodeci began his professional music career with his father’s gospel band Little Cedric and The Hailey Singers and released three albums. Later he joined the DeGrate brothers and formed R&B group Jodeci with brother Joel.
