DWTS season 31 ended with the season’s final four contestants competing for the Mirrorball Trophy. They took the stage for two routines: a redemption dance and a freestyle.
The Mirrorball Trophy will be awarded to one of the four remaining finalists: Shangela and Gleb Savchenko, Wayne Brady and Witney Carson, Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy, or Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas. The Mirrorball Trophy will be announced after Monday’s finale.
The season’s finale features a variety of dance styles and the judges will award five bonus points to the winning duo. The Mirrorball Trophy is awarded to the winning couple, based on the judges’ scores and fan vote.
Melanie C and Gleb Savchenko
During Week Five of Dancing With The Stars, Melanie C and her professional partner, Gleb Savchenko, were eliminated. The judges gave them a score of 36 out of 40. They performed a quickstep to “You’re the One That I Want”.
The judges were impressed with Mel’s dance. But they were not impressed with her lack of fan votes. It took a tie-breaker vote from head judge Len Goodman to decide who would move on to the next stage.
The judges also praised Gleb for his showmanship. During their rehearsal week, they had some rocky moments. But they were able to overcome their insecurities and put on a good performance. They were also praised for their natural abilities as a dancer.

During the eighth week of Dancing With The Stars, Jimmie Allen and his partner Emma Slater were eliminated. Although the elimination was heartbreaking for fans, Allen said it didn’t feel too bad.
