Daniel Cushing is an accomplished executive coach and leadership instructor for global managers. He has taught leadership development courses as part of both Omnium Global EMBA and Rotman School of Management EMBA programs.

Daniel Cushing boasts an extensive work history. As a software engineer at Delcam, where he enhanced office devops and developed dynamic HTML documentation; at Imagine Learning where he built modern cloud architecture with microservices; and most recently at ADP (Advanced Polymeric Solutions).

Erich graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Utah, and later earned a Devops Foundations certification from LinkedIn.

He was raised in Newfane, Vermont and learned the tailoring trade at West Medway before moving to Rockingham to open a general store that relied more on exchange than cash transactions; according to Lyman Hayes’s History of Rockingham (1807), its stock included almost everything from barrels of flour to needles! Cushing has also held positions at Carisma Therapeutics where he was responsible for drug discovery, research and development, medical affairs and regulatory affairs. With over 25 years of pharmaceutical and biotech industry experience under his belt – as well as multiple products successfully launched onto the market – Cushing is highly experienced.

Achievement and Honors

Cushing founded Dolce Singers and directed the Somerset Choral Society, Corsley Festival Choir, St Woolos Sinfonia and Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod as well as performing as a soloist for National Symphony Orchestra and Llangollen International Music Festival.

Bob Work attended the ceremony and honored Cushing as “a true American hero.” He noted his involvement in some of the Civil War’s bloodiest battles such as Malvern Hill, Antietam and Gettysburg.

At age 17, he joined the Navy. Over his 17 years in service he rose through various ships’ ranks until reaching cook first class at the start of the Spanish-American War in 1898, when he received the Medal of Honor for his bravery aboard U.S.S. Cushing on February 11, 1898.

He had four children: Sharon, FredThompson, Karla and Kim Cushing as well as three stepchildren Debbie Smith, Cindy McGilvrey and Diane Kramer. Additionally he belonged to various choirs such as Dolce Singers, Octet Choir and Chamber Choir and served as official Repetiteur at Llangollen International Music Eisteddfod.

He has collaborated with some acclaimed artists, such as Maxim Calver, Matthew Coleridge and Jess Robinson. Additionally, he directed both Somerset Choral Society and Corsley Festival Choir choirs.
