Chef Dan Gaspar

Chef Dan Gaspar is an enthusiastic chef who has gained experience cooking in various kitchens around Austin, Texas. He currently runs Henbit and partners in Hope Appetit, an annual fundraising event to benefit The Refuge for DMST.

Gaspar has spent over 30 years studying ideal goalkeeper and field player development and working alongside legendary coaches like Luiz Felipe Scolari and Carlos Queiroz.

Gaspar Melchior Balthazar del Bufalo was born and raised in Rome and named for one of the Magi who visited Christ as an infant: Gaspar Melchior Balthazar del Bufalo. Growing up amid Rome’s hustle and bustle, he quickly recognized his calling at an early age.

He was the head coach of the University of Hartford Hawks men’s soccer team for six seasons, leading them to three consecutive America East Conference tournament championships and serving as goal-keeper coach for Portugal national soccer team in their run at 2010 World Cup tournament.

Professional Career

Daniel has extensive experience in business and investment banking with a specialization in private equity transactions in North-western Europe and the US. He has successfully negotiated several acquisitions/buyouts totalling 2.7 billion Euro.

He then established dgMotion Mobile, a mobile app development company specializing in iOS and React Native applications for both smartphones and tablets. Their inaugural app Intro Designer allowed users to easily create professional-quality video intros and outros for use with presentations or conferences.

Gaspar served as coach to several clubs and national teams during his coaching career, most notably University of Hartford men’s team where he led them to two America East tournament appearances and a semifinal finish between 2005-10. Additionally, he served as head coach of A-League Connecticut Wolves as well as associate coach at Central Connecticut State University’s men’s team.

Achievement and Honors

Daniel Gaspar provides comprehensive labour and employment law advice, both litigation-based and non-litigation matters pertaining to employment standards, human rights, workplace investigations and occupational health and safety. His practice encompasses representing unionized as well as non-unionized businesses from numerous industries like healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, telecom, transportation etc.

Erwin is also a founding member and former president of the Ontario Labour Relations Association (OLRA), for which he received numerous honours and awards in the legal field.

Dan is a founding member and serves on the Board of Directors for OLRA. As well as mentoring young lawyers, he has given numerous seminars about topics pertaining to labor and employment law and has presented at conferences. Furthermore, Dan can frequently be found appearing on television programs or other media.

Dan Gaspar is an enthusiastic chef who has worked in multiple kitchens from small cafes to prestigious restaurants. He relishes every challenge presented in the kitchen and strives to learn something new every day.

Dan currently resides in South Glastonbury, Connecticut where he works as an assistant coach with Hartford Athletic. Over his career he has had extensive international travel and working under some of the greatest coaches including Luiz Felipe Scolari and Carlos Queiroz.

Dan is an advocate for the environment and believes in giving back to his community. He has worked with several charitable organizations such as Hope Appetit and American Red Cross; additionally he has served on the boards of various local businesses. Dan is an active part of St Paul’s Residence community where he frequently attends women’s basketball team games!
