Early Life and Education

Children develop a great deal about themselves and the world around them during the first few years of their lives. Additionally, they often engage with their parents frequently.

These early experiences form the foundation of children’s future learning capacity, behaviors and physical and mental health. That is why UNESCO prioritized high-quality early childhood education as one of its sustainable development goals.

In the United States, early education is seen as a crucial aspect of children’s development before they enter school. It has been linked to improved educational achievement, economic productivity, responsible citizenship and lifelong health benefits.

Early childhood is when children’s mental and emotional development occurs most rapidly. They become capable learners, secure in their thinking, and flexible in their approach.
