David Feaster has had a distinguished coaching career. Over 18 years as head coach, he amassed an impressive 168-66 record.

He has served as head football coach at Glenbrook since 2022, and will depart his position after the 2022 season to become offensive coordinator at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, LA.

Early Life and Education

David Feaster hails from Mamou, Louisiana and played quarterback for his high school team before earning a degree in architecture from Louisiana Tech. Since then he has become an esteemed architect and respected community leader within Louisiana’s borders.

He made headlines as a high school football coach, boasting an impressive 59-17 record at Parkway including an 11-2 season. His performance earned him recognition from the National Association of Secondary School Athletic Coaches Southern Regional Coaching Award finalist. Finally, his tenure with Glenbrook saw the Apaches reach the playoffs three straight seasons and win their first district title since 2007. Although he will miss watching his youngest son Ty play high school football, he remains an avid supporter of the program.

Professional Career

After spending his career coaching at D’Arbonne Woods, Parkway, Minden and Glenbrook, Feaster has now left the spotlight to become the new offensive coordinator at Louisiana Christian University in Pineville. Although this new venture brings with it many challenges, Feaster says he faces each one with a smile on his face.

He also began a new role at Kalamazoo Community Foundation this week as manager in their Community Investment area, where they collaborate with local nonprofits on grant-making and initiatives.

Feaster, an experienced high school basketball coach, also served as head coach of the Parkway Panthers for six seasons until being dismissed last year due to disciplinary issues.

David Feaster has enjoyed 24 seasons as head coach in Louisiana, building successful football programs at multiple stops. His record includes 59-17 at Parkway and 22-7 at Glenbrook – for a combined 110-58 record across the state.

Feaster spent many years as a banker with Cornerstone Community Bank and Whitney National Bank, as well as an active community leader. He served on the boards of both Greater St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Leadership St. Petersburg, and currently chairs All Children’s Hospital’s board of directors.

He is an accomplished architect, having designed numerous noteworthy projects. Attracted to architecture’s intersection of art and science, he excels at bringing clients, stakeholders, architects, consultants and contractors together to achieve project objectives.
