David Rombold – A Priest in Ellwood City
David Rombold serves as Director, Spiritual Services for Miravida Living. In the past, he served on North Central Region’s administrative board.
Recently ordained as a priest at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church of Ellwood City since its formation in February 2000.
Early Life and Education
Rombold has long been passionate about education. He studied at Notre Dame.
He attended Harvard’s Graduate School of Education and participated in multiple research projects.
David is a member of Holy Redeemer Parish in Ellwood City and was recently ordained as its first priest since its formation.
Dave and Sharon Rombold of North Sewickley Township reported that their son has always dreamed of becoming a priest, and through years of discernment, education, and prayer their son has developed the necessary traits that will enable him to become an exemplary priest and blessing to all he encounters.
Professional Career
Rombold has held positions across multiple industries ranging from high tech to consumer packaged goods during her illustrious career. As a human resources professional, she excels at cultivating employee engagement and designing programs to assist her organizations with meeting their strategic objectives. Past achievements for her work include winning a gold medal at the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) conference as well as various regional and state level HR awards for her achievements. As a member of iAABCC and International HR Forum she is delighted to be named an associate member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). A key contributor to her success has been her team of talented and dedicated professionals.
Personal Life
David Rombold of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Ellwood City became the inaugural member to be ordained since its formation, taking part in an ordination service performed by Pittsburgh Bishop David Zubik and held at Saint Paul Cathedral in Pittsburgh.
Rombold noted his longtime desire to become a priest since childhood and said his parents supported his decision.
As well as serving the church, David works as a research associate at the Center for Research Libraries in Pittsburgh. Additionally, he holds memberships with both the Society of Biblical Literature and American Academy of Religion; has published multiple books and articles; lives in East Liberty.
