David Tashjian is a board certified dermatologist with more than 43 years of experience, currently practicing in Fresno, CA.

He earned his BA from BAYLOR UNIVERSITY in 1980.

Early Life and Education

David Tashjian began his Wall Street journey in 1982, running a high-yield trading business at Salomon Brothers and Wasserstein Perella. Following this, he joined Lazard Freres & Co. where he helped expand and manage their Global Special Situations Loan trading division.

He is now the Senior Vice President of Comcast’s Oregon/SW Washington region, serving 1 million residential and business customers and overseeing a staff of 1,000. His responsibilities include technical operations, engineering, human resources management, growth strategy and customer experience initiatives. Furthermore, David Tashjian spearheaded Comcast edtech innovations such as their new digital learning program and work-from-home options in 2020. David Tashjian is a renowned businessman with more than three decades of experience. Currently, he serves as President/CEO of DirectTips, creators of Tippy, an innovative digital tipping app.

He began his career on Wall Street in 1982, building and running high-yield trading businesses at Salomon Brothers and Wasserstein Perella. Later he joined Lazard Freres & Co as Global Head of Debt and Equity Capital Markets.

After retiring from Lazard in 2007, he pursued venture capital opportunities and founded Linq3, which secured long-term contracts with state lotteries and multinational corporations. His efforts resulted in raising $85 million for their operations, while leading a team of 70 full-time employees. Furthermore, he co-founded DirectTips and its flagship app Tippy to bring the same innovative approach to beauty that he had demonstrated throughout his career.

Personal Life

David Tashjian’s personal life revolves around his family. He is married to Tryphena Cody and has two children: Don Philipp Stone and Paul Stone.

He is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and an active participant in the International Association for Business Ethics. Additionally, he serves as board member for Lazard Freres & Co.

Tashjian is always well-dressed, often sporting Dries Van Noten or custom Martin Keehn suits. Recently he donned Gucci loafers and chalk-striped Comme des Garcons trousers for his Gordon Robichaux gallery opening.

He is renowned for his artwork. His paintings have been showcased in galleries worldwide. Additionally, he designed flyers, record album covers and advertising materials for underground venues.
