Encanto – A Charming, Uplifting Movie With Some Interesting Themes, But It’s Ugly
Encanto is a charming, uplifting movie with some interesting themes, but it’s a little awkward. The movie is animated and features some very cute family scenes, but there is plenty of adult content in this film. While drugs, sex and violence are basic topics, there is also a lot of generational pain to be explored.
Encanto is a 2021 American computer-animated musical comedy film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It stars Stephanie Beatriz and Maria Cecilia Botero, and is directed by Jared Bush and Charise Castro Smith. Lin-Manu Miranda provides excellent songs for the film, which is surprisingly emotional. It’s not a perfect film, but the story is very enjoyable and the cast is excellent.
Disney is always known for bringing culture into their films, and Encanto is no exception. The film is centered around family and shows the importance of family values and community service, but it also shows the darker sides of human nature, too. In addition, the film highlights the arts of crafting and the integration of South American jungle plants.
