She is an avid traveler who delights her daughters with water skiing and snow-skiing adventures. Additionally, she enjoys hosting regular social gatherings for friends as well as being highly educated and knowledgeable on various subjects.

At Kansas State University she earned her undergraduate degree in Biology before going on to complete medical school at the University of Kansas. Following her General Surgery Residency she moved on to Florida where she completed both Plastic and Reconstructive Residency programs with Cleveland Clinic Florida.
