Who Is John Gruff?

John Cale has always been a rock and roll outsider, starting the Velvet Underground with Lou Reed in 1979. His latest record, Beneath This Gruff Exterior, is his most overtly rocking album yet but one that doesn’t compromise any soul.

In 1995, fictional John Graff murdered his wife and children in their Westfield home after receiving a barrage of abusive letters from The Watcher. This episode also takes a look at another real-life murder case: that of family man John List.

Early Life and Education

Early childhood education is a critical period in brain development when children learn how to take care of themselves and form relationships with peers. This type of social and emotional nurturing is essential for a child’s social skillset as well as their academic success.

UNESCO holds that quality early learning programs are one of the best investments a country can make for its children and communities. The benefits go beyond individual success; they promote social cohesion, gender equality and holistic development.

Studies have demonstrated that early learning helps young children hone their language and literacy abilities, as well as boost their IQs and academic performance. However, these effects are only seen when children receive quality programs from an early age.
