john halfhill was born on a snowy day in 1924 and grew up in Pittsburg Kansas. He went to college and played football until one day he was called up to serve in the military.
He was a proud Air Force veteran. He served on the Thor and Titan missile programs, as well as Space Shuttle Programs.
He met his wife Kay in 1947, and they have been together ever since. They have two children, Joel and Laurel. Laurel and her husband Michael live in Mesa Arizona, and Joel lives in Meridian Idaho. He also has four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by his sisters and brother-in-laws and many other family members. He was a true gentleman and a man of God.
Professional Career
John Halfhill has a professional career that spans over 13 years in the property management industry. He has worked on multiple projects across several different types of communities, including condominiums, cooperatives, HOAs and large-scale communities.
He has extensive leadership experience supervising on-site managers and portfolio managers, as well as managing employee development and association operations. He also has a strong history of establishing and delivering training programs that help community associations.
He is a highly respected leader and an active member of his community, participating in many charitable events. He is a volunteer blood donor and a member of the Lompoc United Methodist Church. He is also a member of the Board of Habitat for Humanity, and has helped build four houses in Santa Maria and Lompoc.
Personal Life
John Halfhill was a highly devoted husband and father. He taught his children to be the men they were called to be and to love their wives as Christ loved the church.
He was a member of East Huntingdon Sportsman’s Association and the RuffsDale Gun Club and took pleasure in hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He served on the Board of Habitat for Humanity.
He was a World War II veteran, serving with the famed Wolfhead Regiment. He was stationed in Brownwood, Texas, and went through basic training and medic training.

He was predeceased by his parents Archie P. Halfhill and Nora Pet Halfhill (Sumners) and sister Doris Whitney (Halfhill). He is a proud American.
