John Nodecker Files Lawsuit Against Manheim Township School District

John Nodecker served as superintendent of Manheim Township School District from 2014 to 2016, and recently filed suit against both the district and several former employees.

The lawsuit contends he was falsely accused of gender and age-based harassment and seeks punitive damages. It was filed June 2 in Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas.

Early Life and Education

Manheim Township School District employees were recently rewarded with one of the highest paid and most rewarding jobs in town. New superintendent Brad Nodecker has proven to be more than a mere mortal since his predecessor left for pastures green in March. Professional Career

John Nodecker is a former school superintendent in Pennsylvania who has filed suit against the district, alleging that he was forced to resign due to false accusations of gender- and age-based harassment leveled against him.

Nodecker also contends the defendants misrepresented a settlement agreement. Despite an investigation by the Pennsylvania Department of Education finding he did not engage in these conducts, Nodecker was ultimately forced to resign in January 2016.

Before becoming Superintendent, Nodecker had extensive legal experience, specializing in construction, environmental and eminent domain cases. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Montana School of Law.

Personal Life

John Nodecker was a husband and father of three children. He served as superintendent of the Manheim Township School District in Lancaster and filed suit against its employees and board members on June 2. The suit alleges false accusations of gender and age-based harassment against Nodecker, resulting in pain and suffering, emotional distress as well as economic damages totalling $50,000. Furthermore, Nodecker claims there have been violations of contract as well as defamation committed against him; all proceedings are ongoing at Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas.
