Elton John Retires After His Final Tour

Elton John’s music has been a part of our lives for decades. The renowned artist is retiring after his final tour but will continue to make music.

Early Life and Education

The first years of a child’s life are crucial to their overall health and development. The experiences they have during this time–positive and traumatic–have long-lasting effects on their brains.

Children’s early childhood is a period of rapid brain development, when billions of connections are established between individual neurons. Mechanisms and interventions to support that development must be available to children from birth.

Early childhood education is one of the most important investments a country can make as it promotes holistic development, gender equality and social cohesion. It’s also a time when a child learns the foundations for their social and emotional well-being, as well as cognitive skills they will use throughout their lives.

Professional Career

A top notch education is the preeminent indicator of success but a well rounded work life balance is just as important. There are a myriad of career choices to choose from, so you’ll need to weigh your options in order to find that all important job that is right for you. A big part of the puzzle is figuring out which one you are most interested in, which in turn will help you to narrow down your list of potential employers. The best way to go about this is to take the time to make a thorough assessment of all of your options and then make a decision based on the results.

Achievements and Honors

Although John Lewis is no longer with us, his name remains synonymous with civil rights in the South. The man whose shoulders we stand was born and raised in Troy, Alabama, a state engulfed by racial segregation that effectively denied the right to vote to its citizens of color. In fact, he was a pioneer of the modern civil rights movement. His life was a saga of triumphs, defeats and near-death experiences. Despite these setbacks, he eventually ascended the echelons of public service, winning numerous awards for his efforts. Among them was a lifetime membership to the NAACP, the oldest of its kind in the nation. He was also a member of the Congressional Black Caucus and a leader in the Senate where he served for nearly six years.

Personal Life

John was one of the first disciples Jesus called to follow him. He and his brother James were pillars of the early church. They went on missions together, prayed, and saw miracles.

His writings show that John had some bad character traits (intolerance, vindictiveness, undue vehemence) but was eventually tamed by Jesus. He became the apostle of love, a theme that appears in his Gospel and three epistles.

In his later years, Eusebius reports that he was still a mighty intercessor and was considered a sacred priest devoted to God. He was also a great influence on the early church in Jerusalem, Ephesus and Asia Minor. He was a major contributor to the gospels and wrote five books of the Bible. These include his Gospel, the Letters that bear his name and the Book of Revelation.
