John Thell, 84, of Willmar, Minnesota, Passed Away on August 1, 2018

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

John Thell, 84 of Willmar, passed away Friday evening at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. He was a kind and gentle man who deeply valued his family, church and friends.

He was a proud South Omaha native and longtime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Royalton. Additionally, he served as church usher and lector.

Early Life and Education

John Thell was born on November 11, 1869 in Apetlon, Burgenland, Austria and passed away August 1st 2018 at 84 years of age in Willmar Minnesota.

He was predeceased by his wife Joyce V. Peloso-Thell and one son Patrick in 1989.

John was an enthusiastic traveler, golfer and card player in addition to his profession. A devout Catholic, John lived his life according to his faith with devotion.

As four-time All-NSIC selection and recipient of both NSIC All Academic honors and selection to the NSIC All Tournament Team, Thell earned herself honorary memberships to both American Legion Post #219 in Foley as well as Minnesota FFA Alumni Association and Church of St Mary in Foley.
