On November 1, Liam Qi’s family was devastated to learn of his suicide. A junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School, Liam was loved and generous. He enjoyed video gaming and eating spicy ramen with his father; yet like so many students across America he struggled with mental health issues – which is why his father and brother have come forward to raise awareness and offer schools solutions to tackle this rising challenge.
Liam Qi has made his name through his dedication and medical expertise in helping improve healthcare services, as well as publishing research studies in medical journals for knowledge advancement. This has earned him an esteemed position among general physicians as an experienced provider who consistently offers top quality patient care and services.
On November 1st, he took his own life, marking the second suicide by an FM student this year.
As opposed to some martial arts coaches, Coach Qi doesn’t coddle his students like many do. When one of his young fighters gets their nose bloodied during sparring, instead of offering sympathy or encouraging words he reprimands him sharply and demands immediate change in behaviour.
