Miranda Lambert 2015 Cma Awards
Miranda Lambert Wins Six CMA Awards
The Country Music Association (CMA) awards are held annually in Nashville. Last year, Miranda Lambert was named Female Vocalist of the Year and she walked away with three other awards. She also performed a few songs, including the aforementioned Bathroom Sink. In fact, she was so good that her performance was a hit.
In addition to her win, Lambert was nominated for two other CMA awards. One of the awards was the Music Video Of The Year. Her duet with Carrie Underwood, “Little Red Wagon,” was nominated for a RIAA platinum digital single. A few months later, she was inducted into the Music City Walk of Fame.
In the press room, Lambert held on to three ACM statues. Despite her wins at last year’s awards, this year she will have to compete against a number of strong contenders. Hopefully, she will add a sixth trophy to her mantle.
The CMA award winners were announced at a ceremony on April 19 in Nashville. The ceremony was held at Bridgestone Arena. It was hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. They were joined by country superstars like Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks. Also on hand to perform were country superstars like Keith Urban, Luke Bryan, and Justin Timberlake.
For a country star to receive the most important award, she had to demonstrate the most important. In other words, she had to be the best. While a lot of her competitors may have been able to boast some awards, none of them were as impressive as the aforementioned Female Vocalist of the Year award.
Other notable winners were Chris Stapleton, who nabbed the prestigious Male Vocalist of the Year award. His songs have been covered by a number of other performers, including country superstars Kenny Chesney and Eric Church. He was also nominated for his aforementioned Album Of The Year prize, which he won for his hit album Traveller. However, he is up against country heavyweights like Luke Bryan and country crooner Garth Brooks for the title of Male Vocalist of the Year.
Other winners included Keith Urban, who was named Musical Event of the Year. Likewise, the Music Video of the Year was a winner. Besides the obvious, she won the most prestigious award for her collaboration with ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons on their classic rock anthem “Tush.” Another award of the night went to Kacey Musgraves, who is stepping up to the big leagues with her debut album, Pageant Material.
During her performance, Miranda Lambert wore a strapless red and black corset top. She paired it with a hot pink Joyce Echols stiletto, which featured a gun holster and shiny gold revolver. This was the most exciting CMA awards performance of the night.
There were many more impressive achievements at the CMAs. In fact, Miranda Lambert has won fourteen awards from the organization, including the Female Vocalist of the Year award six times in a row. With her sexy looks and a career that has spanned more than a decade, she is a veteran in the industry. Despite her successes, she dedicates much of her time to her charitable MuttNation Foundation.
