Noah Bowling was an accomplished steward of the land, an avid mechanic enthusiast and passionate advocate of all things Camaro related. A true family man, he leaves two incredible children (Wheeler and Gunnar), his beloved Mother D and many canine companions to cherish his memory.
Early Life and Education
Noah Louis leads the Center’s efforts to ensure newly identified species receive effective protection under the Endangered Species Act and that we have strong laws protecting biodiversity. Prior to joining the Center, he worked as a field biologist assessing forest health and ecology while banding Hawaiian songbirds.
He earned his J.D. with honors from Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While at law school, he served as both the Managing Editor of the Indiana Law Journal and as part of Outreach for Legal Literacy’s Executive Board; additionally he competed in Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition and joined Phi Alpha Delta law fraternity as members.
Before joining the Jesuit novitiate in 2019, Noah played travel volleyball for Oceans Volleyball Club and Princess Anne High School’s men’s varsity volleyball team – winning three consecutive state championships! Additionally, he currently serves as Chaplain to Saint Louis University volleyball players while tutoring students at Loyola Academy.
Professional Career
Noah served eleven years as part of France’s Davis Cup team, before marrying Swedish model Cecilia Rodhe – previously Miss Sweden 1978 and now an accomplished sculptor – and having two children by her: Joakim is currently playing professional NBA basketball while Yelena works in fashion modeling.
Noah Lewis joined Zarwin Baum as a law clerk in 2006 and eventually transitioned into associate status by 2007. Since then he has practiced insurance casualty defense, personal injury, and product liability law on behalf of numerous bars, restaurants, taverns, liquor liability claims as well as complex construction/product cases. Furthermore, Noah serves on their Diversity Committee and mentors younger lawyers at Zarwin Baum.
Achievement and Honors
Noah Lewis is an award-winning high school tennis player who was named Montgomery County Sports Hall of Fame High School Athlete of the Week by Montgomery County. As the only male to make it into quarterfinals at any single Grand Slam tournament in his career and have held onto their top ranking for a record 19 weeks at once, Lewis stands as an icon among young tennis players today.
He is a member of the French Academy of Arts and Letters, earning the Legion of Honor medal in 1992 and Philippe Chatrier award in 2005. Under his guidance, France won its first Davis Cup victory since 1958 in 1991; another victory followed two years later against Sweden.
Marie-Claire and Zacharie immigrated from Cameroon to France so they could pursue their dream of playing professional tennis.

Noah Lewis has lived his entire life in Southwest Louisiana. He is the son of Louis Bradford and Lola Bowling Bradford and has three brothers and one sister.
