The aforementioned show is one of many in Oprah’s arsenal. In addition to the usual suspects, she has enlisted some of Hollywood’s finest, like Oscar-winning actresses Cate Blanchett and Julia Roberts to name a few. On the home front, Oprah has a full-fledged network of her own, which is currently the envy of the networked set. Earlier this year, the media mogul received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor the United States can bestow. Oprah has had a long and storied career as a talk show host and entrepreneur, so it’s not surprising that she has her hand in most of the action. She is also an avid philanthropist, and her charitable contributions are second to none. Some of her more notable charitable efforts include the Oprah Winfrey Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to promoting health and wellness through education and community outreach.
The aforementioned show hasn’t been on the air since 2005, but Oprah is not afraid to get her hands dirty on occasion. This includes her recent foray to the big screen. Her latest outing in the Hollywood bowl saw her gracing the silver screen in a number of roles, but her biggest draw was as the star of the new movie Baywatch. Despite the media frenzy, Oprah managed to squeeze in a few witty comebacks along the way.
