The Red Monkey Theater Group is a performing arts organization that brings the magic of live theater to the masses. Its resident theatre company is located in the historic Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum in Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx. They use eco-friendly materials in their productions and recycle their set pieces as much as possible. They are also FSC certified. They have a number of awards and accolades to their name. Among the many things they have accomplished is producing an award winning theatrical version of The Brothers Karamazov.
In addition to their work in the Bronx, they have produced several tours in Westchester. Some of their more notable achievements include a month long run at the Mazer Theater in Manhattan. Aside from the theater, they have also performed their productions at the Lyndhurst gothic revival estate in Tarrytown. Aside from their main act, they have a number of affiliated companies including M&M Performing Arts and Theatre 5 Productions. They have been in business since 1999 and have produced over a dozen shows to date. Some of their most successful productions have been in conjunction with ArtsWestchester. Some of the most recent RMTG events include a free live musical performance of The Adventure of the Red-Headed League, an interactive tour of the historic Bartow-Pell Mansion, and a free screening of the Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
