Reggie Daniels – New Chestnut Hill College Women’s Basketball Coach
Chestnut Hill College Director of Athletics Jesse Balcer announced Reggie Daniels will serve as their new women’s basketball coach, taking over for Jim Connolly who guided the Griffins to a 61-48 record over three seasons and an NCAA Tournament berth last season.
He provided the tip that led to Ifo Ekpre-Olomu’s game-turning interception during Michigan State game and currently holds nine pass breakups this year.
Early Life and Education
Reggie Daniels has had an acclaimed career as a musician, actor and writer. His writing credits include Babyface, Lionel Hampton and Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band while his jazz group Reggie Pittman/Loren Daniels Quartet has garnered critical acclaim.
He has appeared in multiple British TV and movie roles, such as Edward Kitchener “Grandad” Trotter in Rock & Chips prequel Only Fools and Horses prequel, EastEnders as a policeman and stage productions such as This House at Cottesloe and Olivier Theatres.
He is also the founder of Transformational Miracles, a non-profit organisation. Currently living in Ormond Beach, Florida with his wife and grandson Honovi, he avidly supports Chelsea FC.
Professional Career
Reggie has pastored a successful church in Madison, Florida for four years; however, he felt drawn to expand his ministry beyond its confines and become a Corporate Chaplain with Marketplace Chaplains USATM.
He also hosts a weekly radio teaching program called The Bottom Line that addresses issues faced by teenagers today.
He has led theater workshops for prison activists at both Saxonian Prison Theatre in Germany and Prague’s 4th Global Conference on Experiencing Prison. Additionally, he contributes writing for Hallelujah Christian Magazine as well as playing trumpet in the Pittman/Daniels Quartet that regularly performs throughout New York and New Jersey and whose first album “Point A to Point A” received international acclaim – featuring Reggie Pittman on trumpet and Loren Daniels on piano respectively.
Achievement and Honors
Reggie Daniels has received many honors and awards for his efforts as a mentor and activist. He embodies compassion when helping those in need and is an ambassador of anti-violence programs, speaking at schools and jails around the country. His work was featured on KQED; additionally, he received both Black Heroes Award and Change Agent award from Bay View Hunters Point Foundation.
Jesse Balcer approached Daniels with the offer to be CHC women’s head coach and it was clear he would accept. Daniels was no stranger to Philadelphia talent having recruited many during his time at Hood and coaching the JV squad of Patterson Mill High School where he attended as well as having spent two years as a graduate assistant assisting in recruiting, game video breakdown, game planning and travel logistics responsibilities for that program.
Personal Life
Raymundo may have perished in an accidental surf or scuba diving incident (this theory has gained support among fans), as she seemed very comfortable around water during early flashbacks when Reggie and Otto were young.
Reggie enjoyed living with Jack and quickly became an important member of his family, even helping Kendall dispose of Michael Cambias after he was found raped. Additionally, he assisted with construction projects at Habitat for Humanity homes where Joni Stafford caught him stealing supplies.
Reggie was instantly drawn to Danielle Frye upon meeting her during her runaway status and eventually took her into his care at Greenlee’s loft, unaware that she was her police chief’s daughter. They dabbled with sexual relationships before eventually agreeing on a timeframe before getting intimate.

Reggie Daniels serves as Vice President Mobile Sales & Strategic Business Development for Casa Systems in Tampa, Florida since September 2014. In his free time he enjoys music as both a percussionist and rapper known by his stage name DJ Reggie.
He and Sasha share two children – Kimberly and Kendal – as well as an adorable pup named Ruby.
Daniels is an avid music listener and enjoys listening to different genres. He attended a recording conservatory and is known for his expertise in audio engineering.
He is not only professionally successful, but is an active volunteer within his community service efforts and has facilitated theater workshops for prison activists. Additionally, he is known as an influential TikTok influencer with highly entertaining content.
