Sierra Halseth and Aaron Guerrero Face Murder Charges

The murder charges against Sierra Halseth and Aaron Guerrero are a result of a series of crimes that they committed in Los Angeles. In May of this year, both teenagers pleaded guilty to multiple counts related to the killing of their father. During the hearing, prosecutors agreed not to seek the death penalty against Guerrero. However, they did not say whether or not they believed Guerrero’s motives for killing the victim.

According to investigators, Sierra and Aaron had been together for seven months when their relationship turned violent. Their relationship was strained because their parents would not allow them to see each other. After their parents divorced, their mother had primary custody of Sierra. When they moved in with their dad, they began arguing over custody arrangements. At one point, their parents became suspicious of their withdrawals from bank accounts. They were concerned about the pair’s plan to elope in Los Angeles.

Investigators found a video of the two talking about murder on a cellphone. The video was then reviewed by a Nevada grand jury. It showed the duo purchasing items, including a chainsaw, gloves, a circular saw, a dropcloth, and more. Some of the items were purchased with Sierra’s father’s debit card. These items were later discovered in the couple’s car.

Sierra Halseth and Aaron Guerrero were arrested on April 9, 2021. A week later, police found the remains of Daniel Halseth, the couple’s father. Both of them were charged with multiple offenses, including murder, arson, and fraudulent use of credit cards.

In addition to the charges against them, Sierra Halseth and Aaron Guerrero also pleaded guilty to robbery. The two were caught on surveillance footage purchasing items that they later used to rob their father’s home. Afterwards, they took his car and stole his debit card. Eventually, they fled to Salt Lake City, Utah.

When investigators arrived at the scene of the crime, they found plenty of evidence. They were also able to make out the fingerprints of the couple. But Sierra and Aaron were unable to provide any explanations for why they killed their father.

Sierra’s family is still mourning the loss of their father. Even though the two teens were teenagers at the time of the crime, their parents were forbidding them from seeing each other. That is why they were taken into custody in Utah. This is where they were extradited to Los Angeles.

Sierra and Aaron Guerrero were extradited to Los Angeles to face their charges. Their sentencing was scheduled for July 14. There are also a number of other crimes that they are facing in Los Angeles. For example, they are accused of failing to pay light rail transit fare. And they are also being charged with conspiring to commit a robbery.

As part of a plea deal, the couple agreed to spend 22 years to life in prison. They were also given the chance to be paroled after 22 years. Unfortunately, their sentences were not enough to keep them from facing death penalty.
