Stephen and Adam Ball were his sons; Amy Ball was his daughter; he also enjoyed being a grandfather, playing board games with them as children and hosting tea parties with his granddaughters.

Early Life and Education

Steve Castleberry was a truck driver and family man. An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and rodeoing; teaching these activities to his granddaughters as they came of age. Steve is survived by his wife Gracie; sons Stephen & Adam Castleberry as well as Amy Castleberry Ball; their eight grandchildren Wyatt & Ivey Castleberry Coren Castleberry Dakota Castleberry Kambry Shelby Ball as well as step father Buz Crawford as well as several nieces & nephews & nephews; step father Buz Crawford; step father Buz Crawford as well as many nieces & nephews & nieces & nephews.

Born and raised in Mullica Hill, NJ. At 7 feet tall (213cm or 7’0″,) he played professional basketball for Minot Skyrockets of the CBA league. Additionally he published 56 refereed journal articles in national and international publications, co-authoring “Selling: Building Partnerships”, co-editor of an outstanding textbook: Selling: Building Partnerships as well as sitting on editorial boards such as Journal of Academy of Marketing Science and Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management respectively.

Professional Career

Castleberry has published 56 refereed journal articles in both national and international publications as well as co-writing a textbook. He has been featured in over 50 public presentations as a speaker.

He also hosted a nationally syndicated talk show and established entertainment departments at two radio stations. Throughout his broadcasting career he served in key markets throughout the South, Midwest and Northeastern United States.

He brings with him an extensive business background and vast marketing/sales management expertise. His approach to business and supportive nature have provided staff with invaluable help during difficult times. Achievement and Honors

Castleberry teaches various marketing classes at the University of Minnesota and has published 56 journal articles and two textbooks, co-authoring Selling: Building Partnerships as well as serving on editorial boards for multiple national and international journals. He was honored with receiving several teaching awards including Horace T. Morse Distinguished Teaching Award as well as Hormel Meritorious Teaching Award, Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year Award, Merrell Dow Outstanding Teacher Award Award, and UMD Chancellor’s Faculty Service Award – just to name a few!

Castleberry currently serves as Faculty Athletic Representative for UMD Labovitz School of Business and Economics, actively contributing his support and participation with Bulldog athletics in areas like sponsorships, event management, and fan experiences. He also is an American Marketing Association member.

Personal Life

He had a wonderful sense of humor, often telling jokes & telling stories that could make anyone laugh out loud. Always on the lookout for ways to assist those around him – from friends & family, veterans at breakfast diners, as well as animals in need.

Castleberry was also an esteemed scholar, publishing 56 refereed journal articles in national and international publications such as Journal of Academy of Marketing Science, Marketing Management, Business to Business Marketing, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management as well as consulting for various organizations as well as holding numerous academic posts such as Dean of Eagle University at Fort Campbell Kentucky.

He was extremely caring of his family, especially his grandchildren who he enjoyed spending time with playing games and doing puzzles. He was an exceptional husband, father, son and brother and will be greatly missed by many.

A power bodybuilder and founder of Castleberry Nutrition with over 850,000 Instagram followers (known by his moniker The Manimal), Castleberry Nutrition also launched their workout supplement line called Castleberry Nutrition.

Prior to joining The Ticket, Castleberry served as program director for AM 790 and FM 401.3 The Ticket in Miami where he led it to record ratings and revenue gains. He also co-hosted Riggo on the Range with pro football Hall-of-Famer John Riggins – both radio and television shows hosted by him.

He currently serves on the TCC board, representing District 4, which encompasses West Fort Worth, Azle, Haslet, Watauga and North Richland Hills. However, three challengers stand in his way when seeking re-election.
