Steve Raab is the President of SportsNet New York (SNY), a regional sports network owned by Comcast and the Wilpon family. As such, he plays an intricate balancing act between covering Mets games on television while not alienating owners or fans of his team.

Raab graduated from William & Mary in 1989 as a three-year letterwinner on Tribe Soccer Team before serving as assistant coach under April Heinrichs and later Virginia University.

Raab attended Cambridge University before undertaking professional legal training with City-of-London firm Linklaters. After qualifying as a solicitor in 2000 and working on projects such as project finance and international litigation before departing to pursue politics full-time, Raab made history as the youngest ever person ever elected as Mayor of Cambridge City Council in 2003.

In 2010, he was elected to represent Esher and Walton, a safe Conservative seat, in the House of Commons. He previously served on the board of KemperSports Marketing, a sports-apparel company, as well as being responsible for acquiring and managing Turner Sports programming rights for TBS Superstation. In addition, he held leadership roles within cable television.
