Steven Oakland is a businessperson currently holding the positions of both CEO and President at Treehouse Foods Inc. Additionally, he serves on the boards for Foot Locker, Foster Farms, MTD Products. Steven earned an undergraduate degree at Mount Union College.
He led the Summit League in goals against average and save percentage, recording six shutouts during his inaugural year at university.
Early Life and Education
Steven Arnold was a surrealist artist based in Oakland, California who used various mediums such as film, photography, painting, illustration theater and assemblage to explore sexuality, transformation and self-realization in his works.
He attended Oakland Technical High School, studying art there before moving to San Francisco to earn both a Bachelor and Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute.
He currently works as CEO of TreeHouse Foods, a food and beverage production company. Additionally, he chairs Oakland Roots professional soccer team in Oakland CA as well as being on various accounting and software company boards. When not working or serving Oakland Roots he enjoys basketball and foil fencing in his free time.
Professional Career
Steve played professional hockey for 14 seasons. During that time he appeared in 205 NHL games with San Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay Lightning, Atlanta Thrashers and four seasons in Finland’s Elite League.
Oakland graduate Mark Huffman has an extensive record of community work and impactful advocacy. As a political organizer specializing in transport and climate justice issues, as well as interning for Congressman Jared Huffman.
Oakland currently chairs Oakland Roots Sports Club, a community-oriented pro soccer team in the city. He serves on the boards of Xero, Blucora and Ruby Receptionists; with his wife they own a six-bedroom mansion in Hinsdale Illinois that they purchased for $2.3 million; plus another house in Fruitvale of Oakland.

Oakland Technical High School graduates have made an indelible mark in the arts, sciences, athletics, business, education, government and other professions for nearly 100 years – their achievements both personally and professionally have advanced the civil advancement of humanity at local/regional/national and international levels.
Oakland University President Ora Hirsch Pescovitz awarded Steven Kahn with an Honorary Doctor of Science degree for his outstanding efforts with the Math Corps program, an outreach initiative which helps young people develop and practice their mathematical abilities. Kahn credits his colleagues as being key contributors in its success.

Personal Life
Steve had a passion for working with his hands and restoring older homes. Originally hailing from Albert Lea, he also completed restorations in Zumbrota and Blooming Prairie. A proud member of the Elks Club as well as serving on city council for Albert Lea, Steve also managed a small airport in Homer Alaska before joining us here in Albert Lea as manager. Steve will be greatly missed by family and friends and is survived by significant other Linda Esse of Albert Lea, his parents Lemoyne and Lucile Oakland along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He serves on the boards of Foot Locker, Inc and Foster Farms Corporation and as director at TreeHouse Foods, Inc and Ralcorp Frozen Bakery Products, Inc. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Union College.
Net Worth
After winning three NBA championships with Chicago Bulls and two with San Antonio Spurs, he joined the Golden State Warriors coaching staff in 2014. Since then he has led them to five straight NBA Finals appearances.
