He and his wife Jenny own a berry farm in Bentonville, Arkansas and boast an assortment of animal friends including sheep, goats, mini donkeys, chickens, bunnies and llamas that help with farm work while providing educational experiences for their children.

Together with Chris Mazzalai and Deck d’Arcy from his school days in Versailles, Thomas formed Phoenix in the early 90s and released their debut English-language album to critical acclaim in 2000 – becoming mainstream hits with 2009’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix album release.
