If you’ve seen footage of the Astroworld tour, you’ve probably heard of Tommy Lee’s trademark move. The 360-degree mechanical loop is one of the most awe-inspiring stunts to date, but there’s also a lot of controversy surrounding it. And a lawsuit is looming.

But a 360-degree loop is not the only stunt that Barker has pulled off in the past. He’s also done some pretty amazing drumming. During Blink-182’s recent tour, he performed a stunt in which he was lowered into the air while playing “Reckless Abandon.” He also has an impressive ability to lay down a drum track in a short span of time. And, it’s not just the drummer who gets a round of applause.

If you aren’t familiar with Barker, you might think that he’s the guy who plays drums for Blink-182, and has appeared on the MTV show Punk’d. He’s actually been doing stunts since the ’80s. He was once married to Melissa Kennedy, and has two children with her. But he divorced her in August 2002. Now, Barker spends his time producing and recording music with T.I., Bun B, and others. He even did a stunt with Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington on the MTV Icon show.

On the other hand, a 360-degree loop was not the first thing that came to mind when I was told that the best drummer in the world is Tommy Lee. He’s been doing some stunts of his own for a while now, but they’re not all as elaborate as the one that he did for Blink. For example, it wasn’t the first time that a drumming platform spun backwards and then rotated 360 degrees.

The true measure of a good drummer is not just how many hits he can hit. He has a good feel for laying down a solid groove and accenting the upbeats and downs. He’s also got a knack for the oh-so-important “tweak” that makes a song sound its best. During a tour nearly a decade ago, his band performed the same feat. They even did a version of the “Wild Side” video.

Apparently, the “big wig” isn’t the only thing that Barker has in his trophy room. He’s also got an equally impressive collection of other cool stuff, including a swanky home and a pretty good car. In fact, he has an awesome limo. And, he even has a real-life celebrity wife.
