Who Is Henry “Turtle” Thomas?
Thomas served the LSU program from 2000-06 as recruiting coordinator and hitting instructor, boasting six classes that placed among the top six nationally. Under his tutelage were two first-team all-SEC players – catchers Jon Zeringue and Ryan Patterson.

Early Life and Education
Thomas has now reached adulthood as an olive ridley female. Her flipper has healed well and gained strength. She enjoys eating crabs the best. Thomas will receive another set of x-rays soon to recheck his elbow joint.

Er was instrumental in the construction of the Quentin Burdick Health Care Facility; helped negotiate a gaming compact between his tribe and state; and assisted in rebuilding reservation roads. He believed that through partnership between state government and private industry, reservations would prosper.
HENRY “TURTLE” THOMAS began his coaching career at an early age and soon earned recognition as one of the premier recruiters in college baseball. Working at some of its premier programs and helping develop 19 top-10 recruiting classes at once. Furthermore, he has taken part in 14 College World Series appearances as a head coach.
Thomas was appointed an assistant coach at LSU in 2000, serving as both recruiting coordinator and hitting coach. In his inaugural season at Baton Rouge he led them to a national title game victory; later returning for three additional trips during his seven year stint.
Thomas was responsible for mentoring first-team All-American outfielders Jon Zeringue and Ryan Patterson while coaching shortstop Aaron Hill who was selected by Toronto Blue Jays in 2003 as part of their inaugural draft class.
Achievement and Honors
Little Turtle was an impressive warrior despite coming from an unconventional upbringing, defeating Augustine de la Balme’s French force at Kekionga in 1780 and leading them into victory.
He was also a tireless champion for his people, helping establish the Turtle Mountain Manufacturing Company and tribal mall as well as serving on a committee to prevent termination of the Turtle Mountain Band and being an early advocate of traditional customs.
Thomas has produced numerous outstanding players during his coaching career and helped lead the Miami Hurricanes to six College World Series appearances (1994-99). As one of the premier assistant coaches in all of college baseball, Thomas is widely considered one of the top assistant coaches. Additionally, he has won multiple awards and honors throughout his professional journey and is an accomplished writer.
Turtle Thomas takes great pleasure in fishing and hunting for recreational purposes in his free time, and credits American Tae Kwon Do with teaching him discipline, courtesy and respect in life.
He has served as head coach at several premier college baseball programs such as Clemson and Georgia Tech, helping both reach the College World Series.
FIU hired Turtle Thomas to head their baseball program in 2007 and has seen great results under him, such as top-10 recruiting classes and two championship wins. He is widely considered one of the premier hitting instructors in amateur baseball; some of his former pupils include MLB stars such as Mike Mussina and CC Sabathia; plus, he frequently makes guest appearances on radio programs.
Turtle Bunbury reportedly boasts an estimated net worth of approximately $5 Million. He co-hosted the popular genealogy show, The Genealogy Roadshow and has written multiple books including Vanishing Ireland which became an instant best seller.
He hosted Hidden Histories on Newstalk Radio and shot scenes for Who Do You Think You Are? Ireland.
Turtlesandthomas began filming season 6 of Clam and Waffle as well as an experimental series called turtles’ Ertls in 2019. This new show utilizes Ertl trains rather than Thomas Wooden Railway models to adapt existing Thomas episodes.
