He signed a one-year deal with Santos in 2014 and scored one goal during its Coppa Italia campaign. Following this he decided to cancel all contracts and sign a six-month deal with Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao of China Super League instead in 2016.
Robinho’s mother was held hostage for ransom in 2004, and after about six weeks was safely returned. Robinho later married Vivian Guglielminetti and has two children together: Robson Jr and Gianluca; currently they reside in Italy.
